How many miles can I drive in the first year?

The insurance quotes are based on 10,000 miles and there are no additional costs for travelling late at night, although there may be additional premiums, if your standard of driving is of concern to the insurers.

How long do I have to wait for my new car?

If the car is a standard car without extras we may well be able to obtain one within 3 - 4 weeks. However some models are in short supply with no stock available. In which case they will need to be ordered and delivery can take up to 12 weeks.

Can I insure the car as a learner driver?

Yes, we have made arrangements with the insurance company to offer Intelligent Marmalade to provisional licence holders, although we will also need a full licence holder nominated on the policy as well. The premium will not alter when you pass your test.

Can I insure my own car through Intelligent Marmalade?

Yes, subject to certain conditions. Intelligent Marmalade is available to Provisional Marmalade policyholders. It is subject to the completion of a Young Drivers’ Log Book, evidencing a reasonable training period. Your car must be a make and model of car already listed on the Young Marmalade scheme with a minimum 4* EuroNCAP safety rating, under 4 years old, with fewer than 30,000 miles on the clock and in a satisfactory condition.
