Young Marmalade Schools Programme 6th Gear![]() In the face of £38 million being cut from the road safety budget, Young Marmalade has decided to allocate a budget (albeit slightly smaller) to support the road safety message at an age when students are thinking about driving. Working with educational experts, Young Marmalade has developed 6th Gear to provide valuable information for teachers in the classroom. Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is a compulsory part of the school curriculum for all pupils up to the age of 18, and this programme provides the complete lesson plans and discussion documents for a complete course. If you are 16 to 18 years old and are reading this and would like to see aspects of motoring, insurance, finance plus other relevant subjects included in your school curriculum, please let your head of PSHE or 6th Form know about this entirely free resource. Not only is this totally free but also we will make donations to a registered school if pupils take up learner driver policies through the special student website. Please ask your school, college or youth group to join many across the country by registering at: Forewords for the 6th Gear programme have been provided by: Robert Gifford, Adrian Walsh, Both organisations are at the heart of road safety activity, which helps to make UK roads the safest in the world. |
